Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Iv got something very similar as a secondary display for my desktop PC. The only connection it has is VGA, ya know your standard blue monitor connection.

If you just looking to use it an external display off your laptop then I dont think you could go wrong given its full hd and only 120 euro.

Its lacking dvi/hdmi ports, thats why its so cheap. Quality will still be excellent though.

You could always google the model number and read some reviews.

It is so cheap mainly because it only has a single VGA input port and no DVI or HDMI ports.

A slightly dearer monitors (say another €20 or so) would have one or both of these, a headphone out jack for audio if has HDMI, and probably a lower response time as well (2ms instead of 5ms, the difference 2 and 5 is negible IMO even if it was going to be used for gaming).

If the VGA only is not a problem then for college work I would say go for it.

EDIT: Well beaten to the punch. I really have to start refreshing threads just before I post, or else type alot faster :p

Thanks folks. It'll be an external for my laptop - doing cad, photoshop, 3d modelling etc. along with movies and such the odd time.

Is there anything major I'm missing out on by not having HDMI/DVI? HD quality?

Not really VGA can carry a Full HD 1080p resolution just fine, there is no discernable picture quality difference between VGA and DVI/HDMI.
