Shower enclosure - Tallaght area?

Heading to B&Q Tallaght to look for a decent shower tray and enclosure, are there any other places out that area that would have a decent selection?

aside from that if you know the adjustment and are will to travel PM me and i will give you the details of a good door suppier on the northside that is cheap and of a standard i would put in my own house.

Do BnQ now have a place in Tallaght???

Thought it was at Liffey Valley.

Theres a tile and a bathroom place in the industrial estate at the back of Shamrock Rovers new ground,on the Tallaght bypass.

I got all my kitchen floor and bathroom floor/wall tiles from the tiling place there.

Yes B&Q havea place on the Belgard rd where Urney's used to be.
Clondalkin providers are not bad for showers etc. There into the right in the industrial estate past the motor tax office.

Save yourself a fortune and get a glass company to make you a frameless enclosure. Most of the big companies like Myra Glass and City Glass will measure and fit one for you much cheaper than you will buy a ready made one and they look much more expensive. Personally I found the glass centre on Tyrconnell Rd to be very reasonable.

Yes Paddy thats exactly where they are. As Its a smaller store than Liffey valley they don't always have what you want, But most times they do. I'm in and out at least twice a week.

My apologies if i offended you. I did not "Moderate" as pointed out just corrected your information which is factually incorrect.

It is far far cheaper to buy a made up door already then have one specially made up. In fact the cheapest door i find is made by a crowd south of churchtown in dublin and coming in a roughly 400 euro + vat for qtys of 10 i find this far far more expensive than the 200/300 euro doors available.

I was quoted €650 for a job by one glass company that I am now having done for €450 by the a different company. That's a huge saving in my opinion so it pays to shop around.

I guarantee you your not compareing like with like. I can get you a very high quality shower door for 300 euro.

Is your glass toughened...Legally it has to be and i doubt it for 200 euro.

Yes the glass is toughened. I am sure you can get shower door for €300 what I am saying is that the look of framless is nicer than a door with a frame and if you can get one made up, it will look better and more expensive than a framed door. The Bath screen I found on the internet that I liked was nearly €900 and it was basically a sheet of glass with 3 chrome brackets, the one I am having made up is basically the same and it is less than €200.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm looking to get a shower door fitted. I've no idea how to do it and the size of the shower does not seem to match the size of doors Ive seen in DIY stores. Is there anywhere you can go where you can get somebody to measure you up and fit a door? Sorry, but I'm clueless about DIY. I'm in Finglas.

Hi Jak,

I have just had a bath screen measured and fitted by the Glass Centre on Tyrconnell rd http://www.glasscentre.ie/ and am really pleased with it. It is bath to ceiling which is allot bigger than most screens and cost less than €200 which was nearly €100 less than I was quoted elsewhere. I have no connection with them and really only found them by googling "glass Dublin" but I would recommend them.

Why just shop online and have it delivered? I know it's not the same as seeing the shower enclosure in person, but it helps if you already know the brand and what kind of quality and service you can expect? Saves money too right?
