Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Please heed this warning!!!!

    Hi Folks

Please see important message on Motor Tax Discs Below

    Motor Tax Discs

From Monday 3rd January 2011 the RSA are requiring that all vehicles presenting for a driving test in all categories display a current valid motor tax disc. Where current valid tax discs are not displayed the driving test will not be conducted and the test applicant will forfeit their fee.

    .

    Regards

Was this not always the case?

Was certainly the case over 3 years ago when I did my test, even if your nct/tax/ins is 1 day out they won't go out in the car with you.

There's been some debate and indeed a few threads on this board regarding car tax when going for test. It seems that it depended on the individual tester on the day.

The RSA have now provided clarification on the matter

The court case made little difference. The official line up until recently was a two month cut off. In reality it varied from one tester to another. Still this clears things up. The motor tax disk must be in date.
