Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Too much talk of doom and gloom going around so for a change lets talk about what's brilliant in this world!

    What are the things you like and appreciate most about Ireland, people and the world in general.

    Anything that's happy clappy and not depressing about the world today. Looking at the bright side of things, at the silver lining, at the bright rays or sunshine etc. etc.

    OP You seem to have overlooked the small detail of the Natural disposition towards Misery most of the Irish Population have

    They're not Happy unless they have something to complain about.

    Theres feck all wonderful about life, you work and work and work, and then you retire when your too old to do anything fun, then die. You get taxed for having a job, which is fair enough. But then you also have to pay a "levy" for having a job. And you also pay PRSI, for which i have literally no idea why. Its constantly rains here, but we have water shortages in the winter and the summer. We pay massive amounts of road tax for potholed, horrible roads and then on top of that we have to pay tolls to use any road thats in decent shape. We spend billions every year on the health service, but still have hundreds of people lying prone on trolleys. We have an inept government in charge, and the only alternative to them doesn't seem to be very much different to them.

    LIFE IS NOTHING LIKE THE WONDERFUL LIFE MOVIE!!!
