does anyone know from where can i buy nikon d300s in Dublin ? and what is the price of the camera in Ireland?

Try John Gunn's on Wexford St, Birminghams or Conns. No idea on prices.

You're looking at €1400 or so for 1 in Dublin.

I'd caution against it new though, there's a replacement expected later this year. Have a look for a good used one. Again, Conns would be worth a call.

There will always be a new model due.

If you need the body now then I would try Gunns on Wexford St. They have the best reputation in Dublin. After that there is the Camera Exchange, Conns or Berminghams.

That is the camera I really wanted, but just couldn't afford it. If I'd had the money before Christmas I'd have no second thoughts on buying. Who cares there's a newer one on the way? As said, there always will be. I got a D90 instead, which is arguably as good in many ways and a hell of a lot cheaper. The only thing I miss [from my old D200] is the bigger, weather sealed body.

there's a secondhand D300 in the window in berminghams, €900 b/o. go in and see if you can bargain them down - i bought a s/h D300 in great nick in gunns for €800 a few months back.

Surely if there's a new model on the way the price will drop on the D300s when the new one is released. Might be worth the wait to see if either the price drops or if you have the money for it whether the new model has much of a better spec thats worth the higher expense?
