    Hi,

I write here for my partner.

She is going to apply to CAO for social studies in UCC, she is not Irish but EU, living in Ireland from more then 3 years.

The question is: as mature students have to attend to MSAP test, could be this test equivalent to IELTS? Or she has to do both of them as she is not Irish?

The last year she obtained the Child Development module in Childacare with FETAC 5 level.

The year before she started the part time Bachelor in MOntessori at college of Commerce (ACCS), but she stopped after first year as they told her this was enough to teach on preschools (equivalent fetac 5, but at the moment she has not official ACCS diploma, but only a letter with credits (44).

No one of these colleges asked her a Ielts, she did just a test and she had no prob to study and perform assessment and exams.

    Thanks

Hi, she may have to do both. MSAP is not equivalent to IELTS. However UCC may have their own english test so IELTS may not be necessary.
