Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi i got a lovley Fausto coppi racer bike , and i am planning to get some tires changed , i was thinking a Kevlar reinforced tyre thanks to the lovely bottle throwing dubliners, my question is what would you recommend for these dirty roads ,which quiet often gets slippery

i was thinking one of these of the continental , but it has no Kevlar in it , do u think is it strong enough to cycle trough broken glasses ?

A liner of crushed Aramid fibre (kevlar) that goes between your tube and tyre, they're very light and far better than any other similar product on the market. Been using them for six months and only had one puncture (pothole) down from one or two a week. Also you can just buy one 26' mtb liner cut it down the centre and use it for two road wheels. Got mine in cycleogical on the quays.

There's a lot on tyres for winter use in the winter thread.

Basically you can't get a tyre which does everything (i.e. puncture-proof, grippy in wet and light), so there has to be some compromise.

My own favourite are the folding version of the Stelvio Durano, at the excellent price of €16.99 at the moment from Bike24.
