    Does anyone know if there is a wholesale butchers in carlow?
    Also does anyone know where I could buy fowl around here?

    I'm fed up spending a small fortune on meet in town.

    There's also Clonmore Meats. It's an abattoir and the owner (Tommy Brennan) has recently started pushing the fact that you can buy direct from him.

    Easiest way to find it is head out the Killeshin Rd and turn right at The Mall Pub. It's a little way over that by road on the right.

    Kearney Meats+1 - have used em a few times, good quality low cost grub. Perfect for parties and the like. I reckon Boscos in town would do you a deal on grub aswell.

    Farm to fork in by Toughers are also a retail outlet for Ballon meats so I am sure that if you were buying in bulk that a discount could be negotiated.
