Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wireless keyboards not working with windows 7

I previously had Windows 7 ultimate on my computer with a Microsoft wireless comfort keyboard 1.0A and wireless optical mouse 2.0 and this setup worked fine. Then my computer crashed and had to be formatted so went with a legit version of Windows this time and got Windows 7 home premium.

This is when the problem started. Since I moved to Windows 7 home premium it won't let me connect my wireless keyboard. Mouse is fine it's just the keyboard that' not connecting or at least not being recognised to perform it's function. Thought that was fine I'll just get a new one so now I have the Logitech mk250 wireless mouse and keyboard and again only the mouse works.

Weird thing is the function power button on the keyboard works to turn the computer into sleep mode. No other key does anything though. Currently using a very old usb Dell keyboard.

I've tryed all the troubleshooting stuff, turning it on/off, trying differnt USB ports, removed batteries etc. The computer recgonises that the keyboard is attached and I've checked the BIOS and it's showing up 2 keyboards and a mouse. The other keyboard being the Dell one.

Any suggestions on what i can do to fix this. It's really annoying and I'd rather not be using this old Dell keyboard as long as I have this system?

Did you download and install drivers for it?

For the Microsoft one yes. Didn't work. The Logitech mk250 one doesn't have drivers. It's meant to be plug and play. I tryed using the connection utility thing they have but that didn't work.

    That's interesting.

Does either of them work in Safe Mode?

Wireless one doesn't work in safe mode. Wireless mouse still works fine and so does the wired keyboard.

Bump. Any ideas I don't want to have to send this back.
