Hi guy's I am crap with computers as they don't have moving parts bar the fan, I need to update my sat-nav and have not a clue how to download them onto a disc or sd card on my Imac. Is there a place that I can buy them or have them installed or can someone tell me how to do it in a way a 4 year old child would under stand…

you will find instructions to let you know if you need an update and if one is available.
Usual routine is to purchase update on line, download it to your computer, transfer it to a memory card and plug it in to your satnav.
Have a look and see how you get on.
