Given I'm LANing for a few hours before, I think I'll bring a change of shirt :)

LAN gaming in a suit... hmmm... am I that crazy. I may just be. I may just be. Probably give me that "I've just done a damn day's work!" look and smell :)

I'm confused....I thought Grand Social was the place on the corner of Abbey and O'Connell Street, and Pravda (or what used to be Pravda) was at the foot of The Ha'penny bridge and is now called The Social?

I don't want to show up at the wrong venue :o so where should I head?

God no. We were just kidding about and said we would dress up all fancy like. There is no dress code...we were just messing about.

No, Kharn clearly dispelled such ideas with his "just so there's no mis-interpretations" message :)

    Hey guys.

Neither of the gaming places have

    a) a working phone line
    b) someone willing to take a booking or respond to mails

I was hoping someone in Ireland/Dublin might be able to help me out and make enquiries for the LAN before the beers? Just with regards to what games we can play and how many PC's we can have.

    Quick update....

Looks Like I should have read the page and not just a friends Twat Tweet.
    Sample Vouchers

Is the event’s currency to enable you to sample. No sample can be tasted without exchanging a quantity of vouchers. You receive a number of vouchers as part of your entrance ticket with further vouchers available at a cost of £1.50 each during the show. You will require between 1 to 3 vouchers for each sample, depending on the age and rarity of the whisky. The principle is that un-aged whiskies or whiskies under 12 years are 1 voucher, whiskies over 22 years of age are 3 vouchers.

It's 45e but that for a FULL DAY ENTREE of drinking quality Whisk{e}y is extra on ticket system :/ ..... :pac:

It's today and I have no money. :(

I'd forgotten they do Bundaberg though. Will definitely be drinking that next time I'm there. So delicious. Although I got made fun of when I was in Australia last summer because apparently it's considered an 'old man's drink' over there.

But old man's drinks are generally the best drinks, that's why old men drink them!

Actually, I remember being at the Woolshed watching some soccer last year when all this was on. We left after the game before the crowd got too mad.

I was in the XGC today at lunch. There is a fine collection of games, including Starcraft 2 which makes me happy. We won't have any difficulty in getting a game of something we all enjoy. The gent on duty knew me from Boards (I forgot I'd met him before :o) and said that we might be able to wrangle a deal out of the manager when we get there on the 5th.

got a letter at home saying that since i did so well in my exams last summer, there's a bit of an award ceremony on the 5th Feb  going to try and see if i can ditch it, cos it's probably going to be as boring as fúck. i've my bus and hostel booked, and i really want to meet ye all

Feck that award ceremony ****e. I went to two in UCD and then skipped the third one AND one in Trinity - I can safely say that I was much better off after NOT attending those :P

Seriously, they're so boring. If there's any prize they'll send it to you.
