Just been reading this article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12138627 about how it is now illegal for mixed sexes to shake hands in Somalia.

Funny old world we live in, here in Ireland random, mixed sex people shake hands in public all the time! In fact, its kinda expected of us to shake a strangers hand in some instances (business meeting eg)

What would you like to see banned here regarding mixed sexes?

I think it should be illegal for a wife to insist hubbie escorts her to a Westerlife concert! (cringe worthy sh1t!)

To be honest, it's not technically illegal as Somalia hasn't had a government for the past decade or two. It's completely lawless.

I remember a couple of months ago I saw a news clip on BBC of a woman from the EU (cant think of her name, shes British) meeting a representative from Iran to discuss it's nuclear programme. She wasnt allowed to shake his hand as they were different genders.
It must be fairly common in Islamic countries.

Crazy country it is and lawless at that. When I was in Kenya one of the women who was teaching in one of the schools in Garrissa (near the Somalia border) used to get thrown stones at her every day for not wearing a veil or whatever it's called burkha.
Everybody passed like it was normal.
