What does it mean when 'local only' comes up when the connection for Eircom BB goes down? It keeps happening me lately and nothing is wrong with the router.

I presume "Local Only" appears on the Network icon in the bottom right-hand notification area(Windows). This means that your pc only has local network access, it can connect to other machines on your network, but it can't connect to the internet.

Your problem is most likely at Eircoms end, but could also be an issue with your router, the cable connecting it to your phone line, or your phone line. If you haven't already done so, plug out your router and wait for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in, and make sure to check all cables. If the problem persists, get onto Eircom about it.
