    Hi all

I want to get my Mam some nice films. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

I've already got her Steel Magnolias, one of the original chick flicks.

I also got her The Brothers McMullen, a really nice Irish-American romantic comedy.

In the line of box sets, I was looking at getting A Year in Provence.

Any suggestions to add to the list?

Hmm you don't say how old 'Mammy' is but I bought my sister who is 37 and loves chick flicks Atonement, The Notebook, The time travellers wife and another movie I just can't remember now lol for christmas. They were €22 for a set of four in extravision and you could mix and match any of the films in the selection. Hope that helps :)

My mam is a very young 60-something:)

I was thinking anything from the 1980s forward would be good.

I got her The Notebook, and some classics like Dirty Dancing,
The Bridges of Madison County, and Driving Miss Daisy

Anything along these lines, nothing too steamy or violent. :)
