Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,
I have lexmark X2470 inkjet printer. 5 Years old.
I always use refill catridges no problem. usually after changing cartridge upon first use a dialog box come up and says not correct cartrdge etc. I just ignore it and close it and continue printing no problem.

Today I change the cartridge again and a subtly differently looking dialog box came up warning of unofficial cartridge etc and it will not let me continue. I cant close it ( no X in top right hand corner) all I can do is 'cancell printing:eek:.
It is the same cartridge I have used before?.

Even more strange is the fact that the cartridge is a Lexmark original.?

    Urgent help needed
    Thanks for reading.

    Latest update.
After reading some other info on net I decided to unplug the printer from the power supply overnight.
This morning it started just fine. Did an alignment and printed a test page no problem. Seeing it needed a nozzle clean clicked nozzle clean and guess what.....yep, same problem again. Can't get past the unsuported cartridge box again.
    Two days no printer now:(
I've tried two refilled cartridges now both of which were Lexmark originals.

    Any other thoughts please:confused:

    Nearly there!. lol.

Ok, I uninstalled Lexmark software. Then reinstalled from original Lexmark disk......No Change:(.

Took out cartridge and clean electrical contacts area with isopropyl alcohol and Eureka!!! 'unsuported cartridge warning' not a problem anymore, all commands are carried out, Hooray:D..
    However!
see attached pic, its still not printing properly:(
Pic is of clean nozzle process. You can clearly see the problem.
The cartridge is 'new refill'. and is full. This is first use.

The ink is not mixed as all lines would be the same colour.

    Any further thoughts please:pac:.
    Many thanks.
