    Good afternoon folks
Just wondering when you are looking around at apartments to rent on the net, do you expect to get your rent for cheaper than the price its advertised at, also would you have a better chance of getting the apartments that are up for two and three months at a lower rate than is being asked

    Thanks for any comments folks

Some landlords can be a bit flexible on the price alright, but not usually by much. For instance, I know of 2 x people who recently moved apartment, each time they offered slightly lower prices than being asked, one being €100 lower, the other being €150.. the person that offered €150 were told straight out no, the other person that offered €100 lower than asking price had their offer accepted.

Its really down to the landlord. Some places that are on the market for 2-3 months could be there for a number of reasons. Over pricing could be one, other could include:
    • The area the property is located in
    • Quality of Furnishings, kit out etc
    • The landlord might not be desperate to find someone and is willing to wait for the right tenant to come along (Might prefer couples to 2 x single people, or might prefer a family to a group of individuals

The best thing to do is offer and see..
