Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sky - no satellite signal is bring received error 29

Looking for a bit of advice guys - sky system was working fine last night and now getting the above message.

I've done the following troubleshooting and reckon it must now be a problem with the dish, LNB or cable in to the house.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or do I have to bite the bullet and get an engineer out to troubleshoot? Would ideally like someone to come out in an evening when the kids are in bed, do sky do that or any recommendation for a local to Lucan installer. Do standard installers charge less than sky's set €90 fee ?

    Troubleshooting:
Checked under system setup and no signal is being received.
Replaced sky box with old box and still the same error.
    Reset LNB to no avail.
    Rebooted several times.
Replaced cable from wall box to sky box and still the same error.

Check the bolts holding the dish on the wall, they may have loosened and the dish might have dropped slightly. This happened to me which caused the error 29 message.

Not sure what's going on. Left it on for a few minutes and it's back. Just after I had dialled sky - must have known :)
