Williamson has been poor enough today, Colo had to mop up after him a few times

    Colo MOTM?

Newcastles back four looks solid - their offside trap looks really well drilled. Dare I say that defensive performances might have improved somewhat under Pardew?

Hard to know, we started off solid under Hughton this season... Individual errors didnt help. Just remember the Arsenal game, our finest defensive performance

Knee high studs up, no comparison with the Tiote challenge last week and who gets sent off, what a joke

Great performance from the lads today. Mackems look clueless right now as to what to do.

Full time, 1-1, toon robbed and no one can argue with that. Pardew changed things too late, should have been done after 70 mins and we should have put them to bed.

Apparently a fan ran on the pitch and clocked Harper during the goal celebration.

I had a great view of that, the stewards didn't even want to know, he didn't punch him or anything, just kind of bellyflopped into the back of him. Then he ran freely back to his seat! According to the BBC a fan has been arrested in relation to it.

Any further news on the aftermath? Talk of seats being ripped up etc.

On my way back home after the game, I have to say Sunderland didn't deserve that point.

Sunderland couldn't pass it, couldn't win the 1st ball couldn't win any second balls, and baffling for me is that they showed very little effort in closing down.

Newcastle didn't have a great game by any stetch of the imagination, but they did what they were told to do and had an obvious system in place that worked very well, they worked very well for each other too.

Sunderland just kept hoofing the ball long, aimless long punts filled with hope rather than intent, this didn't suit Bent or Gyan at all, yet they kept it up! I know the bench didn't have much on it, but Bruce stood there hands in pockets and made one change when changes could have an effect.

What a let down considering the atmosphere and effort put in from the fans - the turning the stadium red and white was a great experience.

Anyways as much as Newcastle will feel robbed, 4 from 6 derby points is a good return!

Nothing I can report, I left at the final whistle and am at the other end from the Newcastle fans. There are sizeable barriers up outside, and a sizeable police presence which looked enough to keep fans apart.

There was one Mag in a box above my seats who stupidly started jumping around when Newcastle scored, some amount of abuse was given to him, he got reported and I assume he was told to get back inside the box.

For a team hoping to maybe sneak Europe this season, we were awful. It seems Newcastle brings out the worst in us, hoofed balls, lack of commitment, easily pushed off the ball ect. Really did not deserve the goal, but hey cant say no to a last minute equaliser ;)

With the news of Carroll missing the game and with Tiote missing it makes it easy enough to pick what kind of line up Pardew will go with so my verdict goes to a 1-2 victory for Newcastle with Ameobi & Nolan the scorers for the toon with Gyan to get the goal for the Mackems.

    Fingers crossed................

So close, If Ameobi hadn't missed that sitter, 2 out of 3 aint bad. Oh well there goes another tenner on ppower....................
