Nice to see McCloskey given a shot again, think he looks a decent player. Why are Ulster churning out these centres? And can you send a few of them down south?

Plenty of centre cover on that backline though; McCloskey, Payne, Bowe....

Read yesterday that all the coaches have signed on for another season to take them up to the end of next year I think.

Substitutes: 16 James Hilterbrand, 17 Wicus Blaauw, 18 Ewan McQuillin, 19 Ollie Atkins, 20 Tomas Leonardi, 21 Sean Kennedy, 22 Harry Leonard, 23 Nick De Luca

Also think this isn't on TV anywhere - BBC Scotland aren't covering it.

Wonder are Ulster looking at a 6-2 split on the bench for Sarries. If not they'll probably have to leave out one of Williams or Diack. Williams is the ideal impact sub but Diacks been the most consistent performer this season. Is Paul Marshall completely out of favour now and any word on Black?

Absolutely cracking pack we have there.

Not exactly a terrible backline either!!

Is Marshall really ok to play so soon though?

Beagle played last week and picked up an injury a.f.a.i.k.
Black will be out for a few weeks he says.

I think it will be a 6-2 split provided Pienaar is involved.

Afoa, Henderson, Ferris and Williams equals one hell of a carrying quartet and Tuohy ain't bad either. I don't think there is room for them all in the starting XV though.

Ulster v Edinburgh not on TV?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 496 ✭✭George Hook

    From the Ulster website:

"The game isn’t being shown on TV, but live radio coverage is available via BBC Radio Ulster with radio commentary streamed on the BBC Sport NI website."

Is it a ploy to try and get people to attend the match instead?

I'd love to listen to the match without the commentary, just the sound of Ferris rampaging around the park for 60-80 minutes.

Put a ref microphone on Ferris.

The match is being played at Murrayfield, I guess they don't want anymore people seeing their pitch.

BBC Alba are covering the Glasgow vs Scarlets game tomorrow night and rumours have it that they are not flush with money so probably chose Glasgow game over Ulster's.

Jesus, it's mad to think when Ferris is only a year older than you are. Less even.

... there's obviously still time for me to make it as a pro.

... Once I stop breaking things.

McCloskey really impressed me last week and the week before. He and Schools look like two good finds this season

was at the match...cold, windy, and raining cats and dogs. only memory was henderson breaking a couple of tackles with a great run and then the bar of soap inevitably got lost somewhere. Edinburgh brought nothing and Ulster couldn't do much in the conditions. Couldve been a 5 pointer if the conditions had allowed

Any indication if Ferris was taken off (at halftime) due to injury or just easing him back in?
