ok so just back from my first run and for once I was not being chased..........

I feel wrecked, my chest hurts and my legs ache but feeling good.

    A couple of questions though..........

Should I bring some fluid with me or leave it until I finish?

I read that choc milk is good to drink after a run. Is this correct? I had one anyway but if there is anything better to drink I am open to it.

What would be good to eat after a run. I just ate a bowl of stew. It was from bottom of pot so mainly carrot, onion and a few spuds. Not much meat at the bottom of the pot!!

Is there anything I could eat before I run maybe??

I intend to go out again on wed and then fri. I would like to do some kind of weights (getting dumbells at the weekend) on the Tue and Thur to tone up. Any suggestions here as to what kind of lifting I should be doing??

Lastly for anyone reding this that is on the couch thinking about doing the C25k all I can say is do it. IL be in Phoenix park if anyone wants a running buddy.........

A tired but happy frAg signing out..........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OK wed night and im just back from my second run of week one. Wrecked and ankle a bit sore but feeling good that I did it.
The 30 min podcast ran out when I was halfway back but I gave myself targets to run to such as the next roundabout and then the gates of the park and then to the apts..........felt good that I was able to do that little bit extra tonight but obviously I dont want to over do it too soon.

Bowl of stew, some lucozade and a bottle of water now..........

    Heres to friday

Right tonight was the hardest one. Legs got sore very quickly but I got through it. Ate something small before I went out and felt that held me back as I was burping and felt a bit bloated even though it was only two sausages and a small glass of milk!!

One thing I did was the run/walk in a straight line untill it was over. Then turned around and had same distance to get back so I ran when I could feel like it so doing that little bit extra on the way home.

HAd brown pasta with some sauce and chicken after. yum yum

    Roll on monday night

    week 2, day 1

Was tough but enjoyable. Found myself running more so than jogging. legs sore at the start but got used to it. Did the whole 20 mins in one direction and used the return leg for a bit of running when I felt up to it.

pasta afterwards and a glass of milk and a chocy bicky( I know I know)

    Heres to wed night
