    Siggraph vancouver...

    I've found NOTHING on battlefield3 which I'm sad about.

    The closest I got was a talk this afternoon on dynamic lighting in Frostbite2 but it was focused on EA's new version of Need for Speed, which will be using frostbite2.

    For what its worth the lighting effects are really beautiful...

    There's still two days to go so we'll see.

    It's a MiG 21. Lots (and lots) of them still in service in places like China iirc.

    Pretty sure they're in game. Dice haven't used any pre rendered stuff at all so far for marketing. The only one that looks like it might have been prettied up is the soldiers face.

    THIS IS JUST HOW GOOD THE GAME LOOKS.

    It's yet another thing to have to install, run at boot and log into just to play the damn game. Not to mention we have no idea how reliable it'll be.

    I'll have to live with it I guess.

    well, you don't *have* to run it at boot if those extra 2 seconds are that important to you :)
