    WOW. You really have to watch that Caspian Border video with headphones or good loud speakers. Unreal. The scale of it is just immense. El Alamein in 1942, ah what a map that was!

    Q&A session for a Dice representative that was broadcast a few minutes ago

    (nicked this from another forum)

    - Squad Spawn system is not final and might still change according to community feedback and the beta.
    - No BF3 on steam confirmed.
    - 60 mm mortar a usable weapon in the game.
    - bf2 handling for helicopters
    - 3d spotting is being recoded.
    - no ingame server browser confirmed
    - claymores confirmed
    - no auto-stabilization for choppers
    - VoIP support for squad communication. They're evaluating implementation of inter-squad communication (talk to other squads).

    I have to say that Dice have really listened to the old BF2 community and put back in alot of things that I feared they where going to include from BC2

    no auto-stabilization for choppers & bf2 handling is fantastic news for me

    Also few more confirmations for BF3 after this morning live Q&A with Daniel and Gustav:

    - TV Missiles (on fact sheet i guess..)
    - No Fog Of war in BF3
    - Jets are in Consoles too (who cares right?)
    - Looks like the 9 maps dont include the 4 extra from the Back to Karkand Pack)
    - On 3d spotting: only visible for enemies in sight. No 3D spot for hidden infantry
    - No LAN support on release
    - TDM is only infantry, squad deathmatch have vehicles

    The tables have turned. A day after we gladly reported that console gamers would be getting this great PC feature called “server browser”, we can now report that PC gamers won’t have an in-game server browser. DICE’s Alan Kertz has confirmed that in order to switch servers, you have to exit Battlefield 3, and use Battlelog to find another server and join.

    That is one of the dumbest things ive ever heard! What if you keep getting kicked cause of a bad connection etc.. I wonder is there a play now feature that they are trying to keep as the main tool to join a multiplayer match. Kinda like BC2 on consoles.

    That is ****ing ridiculous. How do they come up with these decisions? If BC2's launch is anything to go by, i'll be getting kicked from a lot of games due to bad connection or Punkbuster. Which means i need to reload the entire game to get back in? That's just beyond stupid.

    I wonder – "users will have to exit battlefield" this doen't mean the same as quit – just pick an new server in battlelog? Is battlelog part of Origin or an overlay to the game?
