Old Sky Box, no sky subscription, still shows RTE1 as channel 101

Hi,
Aplogies if this has been asked here before....
I dug up my old sky box (a grundig GDS200/2) which I use to use as part of a multiroom subscription. I cancelled that a few years ago and left the box lie idle - I thought it was broken but now seems to work.

I'd like to use it to view the UK Free TV channels.

However, when I turn it on, with no sky card, it shows channel 101 as RTE1 and BBC1 is channel 141. UTV is hidden in Extra channels.

When I use my other Sky box (a Sky+ Box) and if I take out the card before turning it on, I get to see the UK channel listsings (i.e 101=BBC1), which is far more convenient.

Does anyone know why the old box isnt behaving like the new box?

It Probably needs an over the air software update.
do this with the box connected to dish
Unplug the mains power
plug in mains power and at the same time hold your finger on backup button until all the lights on the boxes front panel light up
then let go of the backup button and wait for the lights to go out
then after another minute press the sky button and check channel 101

Does the interactive trick still work?

With the card inserted go to Sky News, press red, wait for interactive to load, remove card and exit interactive. This loaded the UK EPG in the past but not sure if it still does.

Karsini. He said that the box has no card and it has been lying idle for a few years so the software is not up to date.
