Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A new year has started, a good time to enhance security. Some of you may already know about the unfortunate incident at Gawker Media. Hackers stole heaps of personal information, such as login names and passwords of their 1.3 million users. This was in December last year, and unfortunately probability tells us that it may happen on another website too, eventually.

As for the Gawker incident, to make matters worse, the information isn't only in the hands of the hackers but has also been dispersed through the internet via P2P networks and other channels. So by now, anyone may have access to personal information that has been leaked in that incident at Gawker.

To be safe, we strongly recommend customers to always use passwords that are hard to guess. Brute force password attacks are not possible on Play-Asia.com's servers, but your account is still vulnerable if you use the same email and password combination for another service on another network and that network is compromised. This is true for customers who have ever commented on sites hosted by Gawker Media, and especially those who use the same login name and password for all their online accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, internet shopping sites and bank accounts).

Updating your Play-Asia.com account login information is very easy, login to your account, click on my details and you can change your personal information as well as login credentials.
