    Hi There,

    I have been offered some contract work in Saudi Arabia and am hoping to spend one week there and one week back in Ireland. Has anyone worked there? Its between Riyadh and Jeddah, will it be easy to get in and out weekly?

    Hi,

    I'm currently working in Riyadh. I spend 2/3 weeks here and then 2/3 weeks in Ireland.

    I have never been to Jeddah so I have no info on there.

    Getting in and out is no problem. I use a 90 day multi trip business visa. I can stay 21 days at a time. Passport control is a bit of a pain on entering. Loads of queue jumping and slow attendants but that's probably me and my need for a smoke...

    It's a bit of a pain sorting out the visa every 3 months but I think you can get other ones. There is a website with the forms on it.
    goggle saudi consulate in dublin for these forms.

    I find Riyadh incredibly boring. I refuse to drive here so that restricts my movement some what.

    The people here are really nice and have had no issues what so ever. It's a lot less intense than I thought it was going to be.

    The Saudi's are very family oriented so it's hard to socialise.
