    Sonic demo is live! :eek::eek:
    AWESOME!!

Sonic 1 and 2 are classics, they should be immediately bought upon receiving a 360! :p
Havent got number 3 yet so might spend a punt.

Cool, gonna get the DX upgrade for Sonic Adventure, got the rest (except for episode 1, still a bit too dear) in the previous sale.

Will give 1/2 Minute Hero a go, looked fun on the PSP.

Still no sign of Trenched....grrr, was all ready to buy it last week :(

    Half minute hero sounds interesting.

Half Minute Hero is great on the PSP. Checked the trailer but it seems to be the same basic game, albeit with a coat of paint. Great fun though, you'll certainly enjoy it.

Want Trenched too :( Double Fine can do no wrong with downloadable games it seems - Costume Quest and Stacking are amongst the finest games XBLA has ever produced. Do want Trenched as it's meant to be equally awesome.

Do yourself a favour and get Hard Corps Uprising. It's Contra but with anime graphics. By far the best game on offer. Sadly X-Men and Tomb Raider will get the most sales.

Didn't they put some ridiculous DRM on that? Or the original game? I won't buy it, on principle alone :pac:

The DOTW page is telling me that there's 6 discounts, but only 5 are showing. Wonder if there's something on offer that's not available here. Don't suppose all of Double Fine's games are currently unavailable in Europe? Wouldn't mind getting Stacking for 600 :o

I thought the same until I just decided to get it. Some of the DLC characters drastically alter the game play. Sayuri virtually turns it from Contra to a Strider style game. It's long too and better value than a lot of full priced retail games out there.

Picked up Comic Jumper for 400 points. Absolutely brilliant.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,126 ✭✭✭✭calex71

Hells to the yes !!!!! Everything comes to he who waits, Torchlight is finally at a price I'm willing to pay :)

Chilli Peppers DLC for rockband still too expensive

Stacking looks like a lot of fun.

I had never heard of it and i am a big Tim Schafer fan.

Went and got more points, is the dlc for stacking worth getting too???

Deadliest Warrior:Legends and some other game which I can't remember are both up for 800 MSP. Major Nelsons blog has not updated because he's on holiday or something.

Dead Block is the other game, a zombie tactical defence game.

Finished stacking today, it was good but not great. Found it very easy and short lived.

Started on Torchlight tonight and loving it , it's a back to basics hack and slash dungeon crawler, it actually reminds me a lot of Deathspank only without the humour.

I see that it will be playable using Kinect now too, good thing or bad thing????

On the teaser trailer its got the Kinect name and logo next to the XBOX one.

I can only imagine it's a good thing, as it gives Kinect users an extra game to add to the currently pretty small catalogue of games (and a potentially good one as well) whereas us non-kinect folk will still be able to play with the controller. The only one that interests me is Twin Blades and it's available in the E.U. sigh...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54 ✭✭SilentHunter

Nothing that interests me this week.

Which is a good thing since I'll be able to buy Ms. Splosion Man tomorrow without having to buy points. :)

Dead Rising: Case West looks good value at that price so I'll be purchasing.

Going to try the demo of Twin Blades first, if it's fun then I can't go too wrong for 200 points. If it's not, then I won't be buying! :)

It's an indie game, so if you have an Irish account, you can't buy it

Yeah, the link to the deals provided above is for the US deals. When I checked them out through the UK / ROI site I couldn't see it. :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Azure_sky

I downloaded some demos of Indie games from my US account. Some really good and off beat Japanese stuff. I just wish I could get some US MS points. There's a website but it's fairly expensive. MS really should make indie games available in the E.U. We pay the same price for XBLA but get half the content.

    Usually get mine here, http://www.cheapxboxlivecodes.com/cheap-microsoft-points/microsoft-1600-points-us/

They work out for 1600 points what we get 2100 for here.

Thanks.:) Can you recommend some US exclusives?

This is what it should cost in Euro right now according to this currency converter.

    16.00 GBP = 18.1927 EUR

Hmmm exchange rate looking ok for once, must remember to get some myself. Cost me closer to 20 eu last time I got some about a month or so back.

Haven't bought anything games wise, I just use my US account for getting stuff of Rock Band Network.

I never go past GameCards, TBH. Got this last week, got Trenched and some indies for €16

Funny thing is, it costs less to buy US points. Might start buying stuff on that account, and just using the content on my Irish one

    http://gamecards.eu/games/goods/43

    1600 points for €16

E18.25 for $20.00 PSN too. They seem like the best so far.

Yep. You also get discounts as you purchase more. Think I'm up to 2.5% off for being a regular customer. Although, I have to say, their EU Xbox stuff have risen a lot in price. Haven't used them in a long time, since it's cheaper to pick up points in HMV. Can't beat 1600 points for €16, though!

From Dust (Think Populous with modern day graphics)
    Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
    Fruit Ninja Kinect
