These awards must have started at about 6pm, judging by the number of awards they recorded earlier.

€300 to sit throught this? No thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,118 ✭✭✭AnnyHallsal

Do people usually pay to attend awards ceremonies? I imagined they were free

I'd consider going if they paid me 300 quid. Though I'd have to spend it on smuggled in drink to get through the thing.

Gosh I'm just wondering do any of you realise how hard this industry is?
People work 16 hr days, do night, weekend shoots, all sorts of conditions.
It's really hard to break into in this country not to mention the UK/USA. You can be out of work for a long time, it's hard to get funding. Give them a break.

On the Josh Hartnett question from earlier, he was at a previous years one of these awards so he is not there tonight.

I don't think anyone suggested otherwise. It's the shoddiness of the ceremony that's been subject to slagging. And it's bloody shoddy.

I don't work in the industry but know a lot that do.

16 hours in the day AND the night!! Jesus and weekends as well!? You should contact Bob Geldoff and see if he'll hold a fundraiser.

Why didnt kathryn thomas accept the award.

First posthumous award ever in the history of IFTA?

It's an award for the show, not the presenter.

The producer or director should be accepting, not the presenter's daughter.

Not mad about her personality either but I think most women would say that she is beautiful, she is curvy and not just a bag of bones.
