    Blackpool-crest.png . VS . liverpool-fc-crest.jpg

    Team News - Blackpool

The Seasiders have no fresh injury worries ahead of this game, but Elliot Grandin (hamstring), Malaury Martin (knee), Chris Basham (broken leg), Marlon Harewood (hamstring), Matt Gilks (knee) and Billy Clarke (knee) are all expected to remain sidelined.

Manager Ian Holloway fielded several fringe players during the recent defeat to Southampton and will likely revert to his preferred first-choice players once more.

Possible starting XI: Kingson; Eardley, Cathcart, Evatt, Crainey; Phillips, Adam, Vaughan; Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Varney

    Team News - Liverpool

The club’s talismanic skipper Steven Gerrard is suspended for this game, as he saw red in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.

Jamie Carragher (shoulder) remains sidelined. Konchesky and Joe Cole face late fitness tests.

Possible starting XI: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Aurelio; Kuyt, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi; Babel, Torres

I'd predict a 1-0 or 2-0 win. Really should be beating the smaller clubs like these if they want to finish top 8 this year. Depends on whether Adam is on form though. Hat-trick please for FF reasons

Johnson won't be playing, apparently his bird still hasn't given birth. Hard to predict what will happen in this one.

Dont think Johnson is gonna make it due to his wife still being in labour - according to posts on the super-thread anyway.

That means kelly - no harm either.

For a second I thought you were saying that Blackpool should win 1/2-0 and calling Liverpool small :pac:

I think Liverpool should win this the new manager affect coupled with Blackpool's playing worse at home then away.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Hopefully a much improved away performance from Liverpool. Presumably can't get any worse anyhow. Blackpool away certainly not an easy proposition though (not that the home game was a bed of roses either).

I'm looking forward to the game, but not willing to get optimistic on the result just yet though. I'd love to see a much improved and attacking performance resulting in a Liverpool win, but I expect to see a fairly even game, with a draw a likely result, although I wouldn't be surprised by another turgid away loss, although I would be very disappointed.

Sweet divine mother!! I'm excited about football again:p. There may be no light at the end of the tunnel yet but at least there is a tunnel:). And i thought johnson was still having 'personal issues'? Kelly is a far superiour defender than him and has no reason to be dropped. Oh and welcome back Kenny:D

Yeah you're right, Blackpool should win this one at a canter :pac:

Adam to score, Kingson to save a penalty and Torres to get sent off please and thank you

    I reckon 2-0 to liverpool.

Having been at the last blackpool-liverpool match it can't get much worse than that.

    Reina

    Kelly--Skrtel--Agger--Wilson----

    Johnson--Meireles--Lucas--Maxi

    Kuyt--Torres

Rumoured line-up for Liverpool. Some interesting stuff with Johnson been given a start on the wing and Wilson getting a start at Left back.

    I wouldn't mind seeing:

    Reina

    Kelly--Skrtel--Agger--Wilson----

    Johnson--Meireles--Lucas--Kuyt

    Babel--Torres--

Kuyt would give cover for Wilson and he has played there for Netherlands.

im hoping for an exciting match, id like to see a liverpool win, but a better away performance would be enough (and an all round better performance, passing, tackling and pressing, and a few nice chances)
Blackpool will be well up for it, and i hope liverpool can match their enthusiasm!

    2-2 i think (hope for 1-2)

With Adam as any time scorer it's 9/1 and I'm due a frivolous bet.

Can see a Blackpool win too, Liverpool simply have nothing going forward.

All the positive feelings pool fans everywhere have, need to be maintained..... please ... any sort of a win will do. A good positive performance and a win would be very much appreciated. The rise back up the league table needs to start tonight. 2 nil to the reds.
