Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help with Fiesta HCV

I have a problem with the heating in my fiesta. Basically i get some heat but not much. Anyway someone suggested swapping the hoses around going into the HCV as it could move a blockage. I decided to do this i took one hose off just fine but i took the other off the plastic was all shattered inside the hose. Now i cant get the hose back on. Does anybody know a solution for this? i heard i can take out the HCV and fit copper pipe in to join the 2 pipes and bypass the HCV but i dont have any and would need the car to go get some.

I have attached a picture, the bit i have highlighted red is the bit that is broke on mine. Would it be ok to get one off a scrappy or should i go for a new one.

A popular problem with your fiesta is that heating control valve. Get a new one from Ford and fit it. Nice and cheap. This should do the job:cool:

I think it is actually the matrix that is blocked rather than HCV gone. Well it is gone now after my handy work. I found a bit of copper pipe and fitted it on although it is still leaking a bit. hopefully will do me until i get another hcv.

Never seen a heater matriz in them block up before. I still say its the valve itself.

Well i was getting some heat so the HCV was producing some heat. It is bypassed now so when i take it for a drive i will know if it was the HCV if it is red hot again or a blockage if there is no change.

Its like a bloody sauna in there now. Obviously was the HCV.

I can swap my hat and coat for tshirt and shorts when driving now:D
