Top of Liga BBVA versus Top of Liga adelante.

Pep was grilling Luis Enrique for the low-down on Betis.

No injuries so full squad is available though whether or not we will see the regular 11 I am not sure.

Valdes certainly wont be playing I would imagine and probably another few also.

Nilmar, Senna and Marchena are still absent just like last weekend against Madrid.

Cani will be playing - thank god sense was shown and his red was over turned.

Should be a cracking game this.

^ Why the fack is it not on Sky? I am enjoying both Villareal and Sevilla this season. Both were involved in cracking games at the weekend again.

    League Cup semi interfering, afaik.

Still, better than the last series of games where they only had the second half of Athletic Barca and the full game of Espanyol and Atleti.

    Barca lineup:
Pinto; Alves, Puyol, Piqué, Maxwell; Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta; Pedro, Messi, Villa

That Negredo guy seems to be doing well. Liverpool been linked with him the last few weeks.

How would he cope in the premiership?

Cracking game - 10/10 for entertainment.

    Finished 3 - 3 in the end.

Both sides had goals ruled out and Capdevila booked for karate kick on Navas all with the space of about 60 seconds!

Great scenes at Camp Nou - big squad picture with the Ballon d'Or.

Second time Villa srikes the post.

    Betis adopting some clever tactics.

Awful pity they are going into admin next week.

Debts of over €66m apparently - wonder will they be allowed move up to the primera should they qualify?

Would be extraordinary should they stay top until the end of the season and be denied promotion.

EDIT: Apologies, second was actually a save - fair dues keeper.

Messi could have had five were it not for Alves being greedy.

Alves is the fittest football player I've ever seen. What an athlete.

Whopper engine, but funnily enough I don't think he was great tonight. Despite the scoreline.

    Thanks Leo, thanks Barca.

You lucky so and so. Well played by Barca, Betis played very well until the slip that cost them the first goal. Words can not describe how brilliant Messi is, and what an assist by Iniesta for the 5th, beautiful stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭fkiely

Think it'll be tougher than expected for Real tonight. QSF will want a big performance from his players after the weekend, especially if the rumours are to be believed about his job. Fancy Almeria big time in the other game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Atleti will get absolutely hammered tonight I reckon. Their confidence is very low after recent results, they have a mental block about playing Real and they are just a bit shít as well.

I'm going to this one. I'm hoping that Atleti turn up and put in a strong performance but I can't see it. They tend to bend over and receive in the Bernabeu.

Still, the fact that it's a derby should make for a good atmosphere, even if it's in the world's biggest library.

I really hope Athleti put up a good fight but i can't see it happening, the way both teams are playing right now Real should win this comfortably.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,005 ✭✭✭CorkMan

I hope Kaká plays at least a half tonight.

I reckon we will win 4-2, C. Ronaldo getting a brace.

Awful atmosphere at the Almería Deportivo game here. It's like watching one of those Under 16s international matches on Eurosport!

+1 on Kaka playing tonight, haven't seen much of him since he went to Real and he was always impressive when I watched him with Milan. He should be a regular starter soon enough imo, regardless of Ozil's form, I hope its Di Maria thats makes way for him though...

    Why?

Take away his nonsense and theatrics and he's been excellent this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,709 ✭✭✭CR 7

And Ozil is practically undroppable now too. Could Kaka be allowed leave so soon, doubt if he'd want to be 2nd choice. Ozil wouldn't be as effective out wide.

Because of his nonsense and theatrics. Anyways if Kaka reaches the levels he did at Milan Ozil and Di Maria's form will be redundant. 60million. Nuff said.

Doubt Jose is bothered by Di Marias nonsense as despite that he's actually been a very tactically disciplined player. Does alot of tracking back and closing down. Out of the 3 he's the only one that gives natural width.

I'm not sure if Kaka could leave, I think it will depend how he slots into the system. If he does well, perhaps Jose will rotate him and Ozil. If he doesn't, who knows really....

REAL: Casillas, Ramos, Carvalho, Arbeloa, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Khedira, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Benzema. Subs: Adan, Garay, Gago, Granero, Kaka, L. Diarra, Pedro Leon

ATLETICO: De Gea, Ujfalusi, Perea, Luis, Dominguez, Reyes, Suarez, Garcia, Assuncao, Aguero, Forlan. Subs: Lopez, Godin, Costa, Elias, Merida, Valera, Koke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

I'm not saying Di Maria will be dropped, I'm just saying I hope he will be. It's just a personal preference. However, I cant see Kaka being left out of any team in the world, including Barca, provided, of course, he performs to the levels we know he can.

That was very close to offside. Striker rightly gets benefit of the doubt. Good start. Of course the United breeding always shines through.:pac:

Nice exchange play between Marcello and Ronaldo, Ronnie's finish was poor though.

Ronaldo's looking like he wants a goal tonight, for a change. Could have a hat trick already, if he was luckier.

    Ramos too. :p
    1-1, game on now.

    Nice header by Ramos.

    Lol at Di Maria....

That was just embarrassing from Di Maria.

Great refereeing, a yellow card for diving by Di Maria.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,709 ✭✭✭CR 7

Di Maria not doing himself any favours.:(
    Shocking dive.

My word, Sergio Ramos really is a brutal defender. Played on Forlan for his goal, has handled the ball, and fouled inside the penalty area. Disgrace that the referee hasn't given Atletico two penalties.
