Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was talking with a friend of mine today about benefits and she told me shes not receiving childrens allowence (child benefit?),for her 3 year old son.

Mum herself is Romanian and has lived here 2 years. Her son was born In England but has a Romanian passport.

Does anyone know if she can get the benefit here? Or apply back to the UK (she was collecting it there, but stopped when she moved here)

Edit...She did apply but was turned down but shes not sure of the reason.

eea nationals qualify for child benefit only if a parent is in insurable employment or in receipt of JB.

Thanks for the reply. She is on JB but it seems when she applied (18months ago) she didnt meet the habitual residence criteria, which I think she does now.
Anyway, shes going to reapply now. :)
