    My best lap was about 58 seconds. Had abs at 1 and traction control at 4.

    I cut my lap time by around 2 seconds by bringing the TC down to 0.

    I have to try that. I went in and made the suspension harder and messed around with the brakes and messed up the handling. Although its Tuesday night racing tonight

    how did you manage that? you cant change settings on the standard car.

    Good point brianplank. Yeah Pappa you can't mess around with suspension or brakes. Just whatever you can change in Driving Option is all that's permitted.

    nice times lads havnt had a go of since that 53.6 but dont think id be able to manage much more with the controller must find somthing to set the g25 up on for the tv

    Ok - Week 1 is done for Tsukba. Only 6 people did a lap. Managed to get the quickest time myself! yay!

    Hopefully this weeks lap contest will get a few more numbers.

    Gran Turismo 5 Lap Times Contest - WEEK 2

    You can use whatever driving settings you want for the car.

    This week's rules are as follows:

    Track: London
    Car: VW Golf (standard stock Golf in arcade mode)
    Tyres: Any
    Modifications: None (Standard car in arcade mode)

    Get those lap times up lads!

    I'd like to have a stab at this, despite usually sucking at driving.

    But which Golf?

    There is an '01 and an '05 to start with, which have different stats, and possibly more models for all I know.
