Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking to buy a new telly. Anything from 32" to 42". Am I right in saying it needs to be mpeg4 compatiable for digital signal?

What's the best option as far as LCD/Plasma/LED goes? Also, is there any difference between HD and HD ready?

What other features should I be on the look out for?

    Budget is around €400-€600.

D.I.D. have a useful buying guide when it comes to the Plasma/LCD choice.

To ensure you get a TV that's futureproof for Irish Digital TV, you'll need it to have been "Saorview" compatible. In other words, it will need to have MPEG4 and MHEG5 (interactive & teletext).

There's a thread over in the Terrestrial forum that has a list of TVs that are fit for purpose as things stand.

www.powercity.ie have a range of TVs that are Saorview approved on their website, if you want to take a look.
