    hi,
have started to look for a 2008 1.6 diesel focus. Was in a local ford dealership yesterday, fella there told me to expect to pay more for a second hand car due to government tax changes. Is this true?

Diesels are in hot demand. And 1.6 range diesels even more so due to Irelands love of small engined cars. The cheaper tax is also an incentive.

Don't buy a diesel unless your doing the miles to justify it. For tipping around, the equivalant petrol would be better
