International Same Day Wire Transfer

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me roughly when to expect a same day international transfer from the US to an AIB account that was made at 4.45pm GMT today to hit the AIB account? Is there a certain time it would definitely be in by of it was successful?

    I was forwarded an email confirmation saying "Your Same day wire transfer was successfully sent".

    Would really appreciate if someone could help me with this - Thanks!

    Well I'm not sure if it's of any relevance but when I recently electronically transfer money (on 365online) from my Bank of Ireland a/c to my EBS a/c, it took four working days to arrive which is fairly typical.

    How they can do a 'same day' transfer across the Atlantic I'm not sure but I'll bet it will take longer than Alcock and Brown!

    Not sure about from US to here, but I do know there are cut off times for wiring funds, if it's sent as urgent it has to be sent before 12.30 I think, and if its standard I think cut off time is about 5.00

    From my experience of receiving electronic funds from outside Ireland they have arrived into my account in the morning i.e. same time when direct debits etc hit your account
