    Could the Irish Coursing Club, the governing body of hare coursing in Ireland, be wiped out next Tuesday?

    It lost a case taken against it by Limerick-based property developer, Greenband Investments, over an alleged breach of contract re the sale of a strip of land in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and on Tuesday the Commercial Court will decide on the extent of the damages to be awarded against the ICC.

    Leaving aside the rights and wrongs of the case, opponents of hare coursing are lapping this up and hope that this could finish the ICC. It's an un-incorporated association so that I presume its members will be liable to fork out, or it may have to sell off a sizable chunk of its proprty portfolio.
