You presume too much . .

United fans arent as blindly comitted like ABU's in terms of how ABU's like to make things they want to be true factual, by virtue that its what they want to believe as opposed to objectively debating hot topics.;)

Liverpool supporters being stuck in the past I've heard of, City fans is a new one on me tbh, thats all, never heard it being said.

    What period was that?

1968-1970 (so late 60s/early70s). Three domestic trophies including the league, and also the Euopean Cup Winners Cup in 1970.

It was a peno, but you find me an EPL game where that doesnt happen. Doesnt make it right, but it happens, dont make anymore out of it then needs to be. . .

I must applaud United fans for not making much out of the red card . . No harm in saying I think other ones could learn a thing or two from the humility being shown .

Yeah, I was looking at that Wiki page earlier myself, cant seem to find any trophies or leagues titles that would back up your claim though.

    Good game.

I think united messed up big time not trying to get at the spurs full backs more. Also moving Rooney wide right was such a waste of time, Bale must of been delighted, can't figure out why Spurs didn't use Bale more at that stage.

Chico should of been on much earlier.

I still dont understand how winning the league once in the 60's makes you the best team in england for a period in the 70's...

Is the greatness held in some sort of probate trust that gets distributed after a period of time has elapsed?

Meh, late 60s then, and we were still one of the best in the 70s, just like we are now.

    Good.

Sure we'll just go with late 60s instead and have the early 70s trophies as an aside.

Probably best just to leave it with a single season when you won the league.

I cant see anyone trying to claim to be the best in England after winning the FA cup and Cup Winners cup when they finished 13th and 10th in the league

Good result, average display. Vidic motm by a mile.

    modric ?

Modric was trying to get his team to score, Vidic was getting his side to not concede, so in that respect, Vidic comes out on top.

Modric was good but vidic was better. He was the best defender in a team down to 10 men. He handled crouch and vdv very well. Modric was good but he didn't score or make many chances. Vidic 9 modric 8

The ref was in spurs pocket though. Mike Dean is worth a few points to ye. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/9099102.stm

Good result, spurs blessed that Scholes didn't come on to win it for united.

But ya we'll take a point. One decade of football and no loss to spurs i'd like to thank spurs for all those points and hopefully they don't leave WHL, it's normally such a happy hunting ground.

Vidic was amazing today, best defender in the world.

The referee was definitely being influenced by the crowd, so many skeptical fouls given Tottenham's way.

But Utd were poor and probably deserved to lose, couldn't string three passes together in the second half.

Rooney was AWOL, not surprised he was put on the wing later on.

Just had to check that it was Fletcher who went to RB. Seeing as I didn't notice he did pretty well against "the world's greatest winger".

With the record spurs have against united it's not arrogance, we just get used to giving ye footballing lessons.

Be happy ye got off with 4 rather than the usual 6.
