anybody know what sort of standard of art you need to get high marks in practical art?

i need to do well in it - i'd really like an A1 - but i'm not sure how much work i should be putting in to 'practice' (it'd be quite time-consuming at this stage, so i'd like to know if it's worth it). how much higher are the standards compared to the junior cert? does anybody who has done the exam have examples of work they did? i'd really love to know what's expected of an A student.
