E-mail disappeared

Quick question,My e-mail(eircom.net) inbox suddenly disappeared.There were about 10 opened e-mails and the next time I looked they were gone.Not in trash,spam or elsewhere.previously deleted stuff still in trash and can send and receive no problem. Is there a virus or something stealing my stuff?

Not sure if this helps but I opened outlook express on my laptop which I never used before as I just used to log into my Eircom email but when I activated the outlook express it took all of the emails in the Eircom inbox into the inbox in outlook express.
