Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there a quick way of determining how old a laptop is and what the spec is.

    thanks.

Do a Google search for the model number.

If Windows hasn't been reinstalled then have a look at the dates of folders in the C: drive.

You can quickly check the spec (CPU, RAM etc.) in Start > Control Panel > System.

Run balarc advisor on your lap top. It will tell you the tag number or model number and give you a full system spec - all hardware and software.

    in Ubuntu you can use

    sudo lshw | less

and see what it says for product

you could also open up the laptop and see what date is written on the RAM / HDD

if it's a DELL putting the tag number ( the one ending in J - it's also in the BIOS ) in the support site will give you the dates
