Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You could explain your situation your CWO.

But, quite honestly, its really an indulgence that is not going to damage your son if he does not have all the bells and whistles.

This kind of religious 'tradition' infuriates me.

Evil loan sharks make a killing out of this kind of nonesense.

You are his mother, there to love him and do your best. Sounds like you are trying your best.
That communion thing is a racket, and if even if your CWO is sympathetic to your situation, and you are eligible for an extra payment, that could mean you might well forfeit any chance of getting a payment for something really important in the future.

Personally, I think your son would be better served given an honest chat about why communion is not going to be a big deal, and often in life, there is silly hype and pressure to spend money, conform to this or that, and buy unnecessary thing, and sometimes it is better to say no, be stronger and walk away from the sheep.

This isnt a thread about what communion means to a boy or girl making their cummunion.

The OP has asked if there is a grant available to help to pay for confirmation clothing.

They answer is,YES there is,and you can get it,if you are on a social wellfare payment.

Simples as that and end of

paddy I think the OP has had her questions answered. There's no need in bumping old threads like this. This thread is now locked as it is resolved.
