    Birmingham targeting Clark at LB

And getting nowhere with that!! Clark has the measure of Bentley so far.

How infuriating must it be to have Bentley playing on your team?!

Very poor crowd for the derby.

Clark is following Bentley everywhere, so Carr is getting behind him and into lots of space.

    Poor stuff.

Easy to see why these two midland teams are struggling they just can not finish!

Its his first game for them. Bentley was class at Rovers, I'm quite sure he will do well when he gets a couple of games under his belt with Brum.

I think Albrighton was switch to that side by the end of the half. Probably as he'd be better at tracking Carr than Gabby.

Carew has done nothing. We should bring him Bannan for him and put Gabby up front. Bannan in the middle with Downing and Marc on the wings. Try playing some football.

We are dominating the midfield but not really fashioning goal scoring chances. Bentley and Gardner are not having much luck on the wings, but are doing ok when coming inside. Still hard to see where a goal will come from, we are missing Larsson's delivery at set pieces.

i'd agree with this on the first half showing. Gabby being pushed out to the wing isnt working imo

Villa are going to come out a different team in the second half, hopefully we can keep hold of the ball still and get a goal. Ferguson and Fahey been excellent.

He's got a great cross on him but he doesn't really make much space for himself. He doesn't appear to have much pace so getting to the by line seems to be a bit of a problem for him (I haven't seen a lot of him I admit).

    His hair annoys me too.

No. 22 should've followed in a lot more.

    Chance for Gardiner too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Some one should have followed in Derbyshire shot, would have been a tap in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,125 ✭✭✭Patser

    Great save Friedel!!

Dunne poor but given little chance.

    Carew actually ran well too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,249 ✭✭✭✭Kinetic^

Downing giving the ball to Dunne in the middle of the field when he has 3 players around him, idiot.

  • Registered Users Posts: 954 ✭✭✭PaddyBomb

    Great save.

Oh and I'd say Gardner would have loving that on his right foot. Turning into a great game.

Why is there so many empty seats at St Andrew's today?
I would have thought this was their biggest game of the year.

I heard that some of the area is closed off for some reason. More than likely to keep the fans from throwing chairs at each other.

    Zigic on

  • Registered Users Posts: 954 ✭✭✭PaddyBomb

Villa have deserved it. We need to play the ball around like we did in the first half, keep it simple.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,125 ✭✭✭Patser

Both sides looking for the win.

    Panic stations there for Villa,

Edit: Petrov is still AWOL im midfield, NRC was making challenges. Might be a poor sub choice.

Streaker on pitch now too, with Birmingham having a decent looking free

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,362 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

Ball pinging around the villa box. Can hardly watch.
