My budget is 150 - 250 euro My needs are a bit of web design,great battery life aka 6 hours plus,ms word and browsing. I'm not opposed to second hand if it possible to get a one year guarantee or something to back it up.

could try laptops direct, theyve got refurbed ones in that price range and can buy 12 month warrantys with them. otherwise lookout for sales.

Have a look at http://www.epad.ie. They have netbooks for under 150.
