Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anybody any suggestions on where I could purchase a wireless CCTV. Has anybody used wireless? - are they good? - do they just record when motion is detected?. Whats the price approx? Any advise or opinions are appreciated

What is it going to be used for and what's your budget

Its an Apartment complex so its going be located insie the front door next to the post boxes - somebody has been breaking into them the last few mths so want to catch culprit - a system that just records when it detects movement would be preferable. Budget is trying to get it installed as cheap as possible - dont want crap but dont want too expensive.
    Thanks in advance

Apartment blocks a fairly easy to wire, is the wireless going to be used inside or to transmit pictures from one block to another

Camera is going to be on ground floor - caretakers Apt is on 3rd floor in same block - so can transmit images to their.
Is there anything you can buy off the shelf and install yourself

    Thanks

    Sounds very straightforward to cable.
Why do you want to go wireless?

If you really can't wire it try a wireless network camera. If the caretaker has broadband see if you can pick up his wireless on the ground floor. If you can chances are that a network camera will work

Just presume it will be easier and quicker. Is there much of a difference in price? Have you any brand names you recommend

    Thanks

It'll be easier and quicker but the end result will be below par.
Axis make a good wireless network camera but I have never used one in this situation.
I would expect a job like this to take a few hours to do
