Problem joining partys and games

Was playing Reach with a mate pretty regularly but took a break over christmas to play AC Brotherhood. Now just went back to play Reach with my mate but it wont let us form a party or join each others game? Whenever we send a game or party invite and click accept it works for 10-20 secs and then an error comes up saying…

Was playing Reach with a mate pretty regularly but took a break over christmas to play AC Brotherhood.
Now just went back to play Reach with my mate but it wont let us form a party or join each others game? Whenever we send a game or party invite and click accept it works for 10-20 secs and then an error comes up saying "unable to connect to party/game"
Even in Reach when i try to join through the game menus the options are greyed out.
Both our NATS are set to open and i cant figure out whats wrong.
Any ideas?

Reset your routers .. just one of those annoying things sometimes
