Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have an astec 63 alarm and the fault light is on and bypass is flashing. I have checked all zones and none of them are bypassed. It won't set at all. Any ideas?

If you down power the alarm and power it back up it should clear the fault. To do this turn off the mains going to the control panel. Take the lid off the control panel once the mains is off. There is a link on the right side of the panel that says battery. Remove this and wait 15 seconds. Put back in link. Enter your code on the keypad to stop the alarm ringing then put lid back on and turn the mains back on.

Tried to power down the alarm but it didn't work. The fault light is still on and bypass is still flashing. Not sure if it's relevant but when I enter function and 0 it shows bypass fire. Any ideas.

    Entering engineer mode clears this.
Have you tried the factory code 1174?
Also try powering it down and remove the factory link.
Power up after a minute and replace the factory link.
If you code doesn't work the factory user is 4711.

I am afraid you will need to default the alarm and reset it. If it is engineer locked you will need a engineer to reset the panel for you. If not more than happy to talk you through reprogramming the alarm. I will P.M. you my number.
