I would like a tasty i-Hoover app.

I envisage an app where i can leave my phone down, and it promptly grows wheels, and finds its way around my house hoovering and collecting dirt. (this may take some programming skill). Upon the receipt of a phone call my wonderful app will promptly drive back to me and perhaps jump into my hand.

I presume the hdc desire can provide such service?!

My app controls absolutly everything in my home. When im on the couch it will control the tv and dvd.

When Im coming home from work, I can turn on the heating, or get the oven preheating.

iCoffee app - a shot of espresso direct every morning to jolt start your day.

I'm not quite sure where all the pressurised hot water to make the espresso will come from, but I'll leave that minor detail up to the app developers.

An app which would interface with my electricity meter (of course yea would need some hardware) to tell me how much power I'm using at anytime, with historical information etc so I can see when I use less power and the impact of changing my routine of power usage.

I would love an app that will actually wake me up as alarms don't work for me. It could also have my breakfast and clothes laid out for me as a paid extra maybe

(As a complete aside I used the QRCode to download the Android application and it cannot be found in the Market. I'm using a SE Xperia Mini, 2.1-update-1, I think this might be a known Android issue)

Very simple- an app that'd somehow make sure I go running/to the gym when I say I will or plan to go. I don't know exactly now it'd work-maybe beep and keep getting louder until I got off the couch.

Or entered a mode that each funtion on the phone would start to shut down (e-mail, internet etc) and not work again until I was exercising. That was I'd be sure to exercise!

An Augmented Reality app. Basically someone goes to take a picture of you with their smartphone, it would then place an image over your face... say Mr Burns. It would know what picture to choose as it'd see your phone over bluetooth and get the image you want displayed, also it's use the capturing phone's face recognition to place the image on the face right. The picture would be taken with this new added on face and then wham uploaded to facebook.


Oh yeah... good for a laugh anyways. Perhaps call it 'AnyFace'

I'd like to see some better application of augmented reality.

There have been some pretty good apps so far, Google Goggles can reliably identify most things you point it at and Layar can overlay information, pictures and other stuff on a live video feed from your camera, using gps to locate the data on screen.

But what I'd really like to see is an app along the lines of the phone app from the anime Eden of the East.

It would use the camera to broadcast a live feed to a website (Like Justin.tv) but each screen could be analyzed, known items identified, and users could upload comments on various things within the image, organized chronologically or by popularity of the comment. Each user would also have a profile and an IM account, for further discussion of things in the images.

All this information overlay would get sent back to the phone, location would be stored and the comments would be related to the particular entity in the picture.

This way, anyone else in the area would come upon a wealth of information on buildings, businesses, etc, while any comments on the people currently in the area would disappear if those people leave.

Obviously we're gonna need to upgrade at least to an LTE network before the bandwidth becomes available

An App, that allows you to connect to a a companies phone line, knows the sequence of numbers you have to go through to get talking to someone, and will jump you to the top of the queue of people on Hold.
