Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to shop

Hey, I'm new to Cycling, but managed to get myself signed up to do the Etape Hibernian in August. I have just bought a Trek 1.2 and am now looking for some kit for myself. I have the shoes but need shorts, jersey, jacket etc.....where is a good place to buy. I am 6'5 and the shop I bought the bike only had a limited range. I would be a bit wary of buying online as I dont have a size reference to guage off, but if anyone knows a good online shop with a decent returns policy that would be fine. I live in Clare but travel to Dublin once or twice a month, so something over there would be ok if there are no recommendations for this side of the country.
    Thanks

Slane Cycles up north have decent prices and excellent customer service, in my experience.

Wherever you buy from, you probably want to check their clothing returns policy. Returning used shorts might be an issue.

    Join a club!!!!

You'll get discounts on their club gear and it should be really really top notch kit. Plus you'll look infinitely cooler, will gain instant credibility, and other club cyclists will give you the nod of respect and acknowledgement as they pass :D

Slane Cycles looks good...not too sure about the club thing yet...just starting off and really dont want to sign up to too much until I see how much I can do etc...My next question is what brands do long fitted trousers... I have a 36inch+ inside leg, and a 36 waist.... max I have found so far is a 34 inch leg unless I want a 38 to 40 inch waist. Thanks
