Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

im having trouble with windows 7 x64 seeing the battery of a dell inspiron 5101 laptop after getting a new HDD (the old one packed up). dell only lists vista 32 bit drivers for the laptop, so ive gotten all drivers from windows update.
it says no battery is detected, and the battery is carrying no charge.
could the battery have died in the 2 weeks the laptop was gathering dust? thanks!

fwiw I couldn't get any of the vista 32bit drivers to install. I tried updating the BIOS from dell.ie but it said it needed admin rights, so I ran it as administrator and the exe just crashes. help!

Wierd... try taking the battery off the laptop and on again?? Does a red light keep flashing on your battery indicator?

Try unistalling "Microsoft APCI-Compliant Control Method Battery" driver(s) , reboot, see it resolves the issue.

sorry to only get back to you now, i was at work.
when i got home to try your suggestion, i turned on the laptop andthe problem was miraculously fixed. strange because i had been restarting the thing continuously as i got updates/installs/bugs and stuff. oh well, at least it works. sound out.
