Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Planning a Tour

Thinking of putting together a tour for a few of my cycling buddies. Sometime around the end of August.

Money/time is a problem for most of us to so trying to put something together that will be based at home; we spend each night at home rather than having to travel. We all live around Sutton

None of us race, but we are all fairly active cyclists. 3 of us did Marmotte last year, the Wicklow 200 etc.

Was just wondering if any of you had ideas of how best to do it. Was thinking of having a short Prologue (really just for ****s and giggles), a moderate (100K stage around Sally Gap) then the big 160k stage in the mountains. The last stage would be a 30K TT on a flat course (out and back on part of N3 or something like that).

Although mostly climbing, I do want to put in some TT to mix it up a bit. Easy enough to organise the Prologue and TT, for Prologue easy to get the time, the TT will be based a bit more on honesty!!!!!

Looking for ideas on routes etc that are easy to manage, ie lack of traffic lights etc. Their would probably only be 4 or 5 of us.

don't want to put a damper on that idea but if your inviting other cyclist to join in the fun ,think about insurance accidents happen and people could claim from you .
